Self Educate

今日はUi AmericaのShinさんと給湯器の修理トレーニング。


アメリカ市場におけるTankless Water Heaterのシェアは10%以下です。
年々増えているとはいえ、まだまだ普及率は低いのです。

また、品質が良いTankless Water Heaterですので、そんなに故障があるわけでもありません。
いいことでもあるのですが、メーカーで受けた修理トレーニングも、その知識を半年も使う機会がなければ忘れてしまいます。

しかし故障があたっときには、すぐに直さなければいけません。お客様がお湯が使えなくなり、ご迷惑をおかけするからです。

故障は寒くなる冬に増えます。万全の準備をしていないといけないのです。

工事がない空いた時間には、普段できない商品の細かなところまで確認し、スキルをあげるトレーニングを行っています。

今日は業務用給湯器を分解し、組みなおし、部品交換、レイアウト確認、内部洗浄の準備を行いました。

Ui Americaは取り付けだけでなく、アフターサービスまで責任持ったサービスをご提供します。

Today, Shin (Tankless specialist from Ui America) and I did some “self-training” to improve on troubleshooting Tankless Water Heaters.
Tankless Water Heaters in the U.S. market share is less than 10%. Although the market rate is increasing every year, the rate of familiarity and awareness is slow.

Since Tankless Water Heaters are made with high quality materials, it rarely needs repairing. Since it is infrequent, there is little amount of troubleshooting calls. Even as a service rep that was trained for this, troubleshoot skills may get rusty especially when there are no calls over six months. But this is not excusable; we feel that we should not waste our skills in this field, and self-educate to maintain and refresh the knowledge.

There may be higher rates of error for Tankless Water Heaters during the colder winter seasons.  Therefore, we must be prepared at all times.
Someday, if there is an unexpected malfunction on a customer’s Tankless Water Heater, we will be ready.  If there is an occurrence of such, we must be ready to troubleshoot and repair the problem.  A malfunction is an inconvenience to our customer and that may be very time consuming for our clients.  For the sake of the customer’s and ours, we stand by ready to go to provide consistent hot water. 

By all meanings, being well prepared, gives us the advantage in the field.  We go through detailed researching and practices on our products in order to be the best at what we do. 
So for today’s “self-training”, Shin and I disassembled a commercial Tankless, replaced parts, checked the layout, cleaned internal parts, and assembled everything back together. I’m glad we did our part to enhance productivity.  

Ui America does installation as well as providing great after-sales services as part of our responsibility.
